Im
pleased to announce the release of my first books for children:
They were both published by Jackfruit Press, a fine company based in Toronto.
These graphically illustrated books are part of Jackfruits Warts and All series on Canadian Prime Ministers. Aimed at young people, age 8 14, the series is designed to enlighten and entertain at the same time.
My Chretien book charts the life of the self-proclaimed Little Guy From Shawinigan as he brawls his way through small-town Quebec, fakes an appendix attack to get out of school andsomewhat to his familys astonishmentbecomes a successful lawyer and politician.
Autographed copies of my books are available for sale. Send me an email at nhendley@interlog.com for details or purchase through PayPal.
William Lyon Mackenzie King was incredibly boring in public and bizarre in private. A bachelor all his life, King loved his mother, his country and the art of politics. He also enjoyed holding séances and chatting with his dog Pat, about policy issues. Such was the strange but steadfast man who led Canada through the Great Depression and Second World War.
